I'm a product manager at CariSurg, where we're building an AI-enabled surgical co-pilot for operating rooms that can't rely on bandwidth. My work there is WHO Surgical Safety Checklist integration, structured perioperative capture, and cutting the documentation load off clinicians.
Before that I spent six years leading design for fintech, education and enterprise platforms — payment apps used by millions of Ethiopians, an LMS that cut screening time by 80%, an ERP serving clients across the UK. I care about products that hold up under real constraints: low bandwidth, low trust, high stakes.
I studied software engineering at Addis Ababa University, which is probably why I still like sitting with the engineers who have to build the thing. Before product I shot photography and designed print — a useful education in whether a hierarchy survives being seen from across a room.
