The problem

10 Academy was screening thousands of applicants and grading them by hand. Reviewers drowned in applications, feedback arrived too late to be useful, and trainees dropped out early because nobody caught them slipping until the cohort was already over.

What I did

  1. Ran user research and concept validation with reviewers, trainers and trainees before committing to a structure.
  2. Designed the client dashboard around the questions clients actually open the tool to answer — how is this cohort doing, what is it costing me, who needs attention.
  3. Owned a complex data-visualisation surface: cohort progress, cost-by-service breakdowns, and per-trainee skill radars that make a gap visible at a glance.
  4. Built interactive Figma prototypes so stakeholders could validate flows before engineering wrote code — which saved an estimated 40+ hours of build time.
  5. Delivered a component system and developer handoff that let a small team ship consistently across three years.
